About Artist

The Mamas and the Papas become a pivotal part of American culture in the 1960’s. The very roots of the
hippie movement can be directly traced to their artistic influence. Prior to the Mamas and the Papas,
most vocal groups were unisex and all dressed very conservatively. When Cass, John, Denny & Michelle
hit the scene those stereotypes flew out the window. Their unique style and light pop arrangements
helped put California on the musical map and the laid-back 60’s West Coast lifestyle was born.
Billed as a loving tribute to the original 1960’s rock band, The Papas & Mamas recreate the musical
chemistry of one of the few North American groups to maintain widespread success during the British
Invasion.

With their tight, four part harmonies and close physical resemblance to the groundbreaking
original group, The Papas & Mamas have entertained audiences all the way from Ojai, California
to Barcelona, Spain.

The evening features the greatest hits of one America’s greatest bands. Sherry Land-Hicks performs
as “Mama” Cass Elliot. Mike Butler’s smooth tenor pipes are spot on as Denny Doherty. Natalie Wilde
adds her angelic soprano voice as ageless beauty Michelle Phillips and Randy Ray Mitchell rounds out
the cast as Papa John Phillips.

Their haunting performance of California Dreaming will take you back to the sweet Southern California
pop scene of the mid/late 60’s. Whether you’re a fan of The Mamas and the Papas or a newcomer
to the sound, an evening with The Papas & Mamas will have audiences dancing in their seats and trigger
fond memories of a time gone by… whose time has come again!
